Dr Donnie Adams

Donnie Adams is currently a Lecturer in Educational Leadership at The University of Melbourne, Australia. He obtained his Ph.D. in Educational Leadership from Universiti Malaya under the Bright Sparks scholarship and was awarded the Universiti Malaya’s Excellence Award 2016: PhD Completion in Less than 3 Years. He was recently awarded the Emerald Young Researcher Award 2021 by Emerald Publishing and Universiti Malaya’s Excellence Service Award 2023. Dr. Adams is the Editor for Cogent Education, and Associate Editor for Educational Research and Evaluation. He is actively involved in research and development work towards the area of inclusive school leadership and school-wide reformation of inclusive education agenda in Malaysia. He has led research projects with the Ministries of Education in Malaysia & Maldives, The Department of Education Philippines, The British Council, ETH Zürich, The HEAD Foundation, UNICEF, Teach for Malaysia, and Asian Universities Alliance. Recently, he is listed by Britishpedia as one of the 'Successful People in Malaysia' in the field of Education.

Training

I have over 10 years of experience in training, focusing on areas of research methodologies, research tools and software, statistical analysis, blended learning and educational management.

Researcher

My research is primarily focused on inclusive school leadership and the school-wide reformation of the inclusive education agenda in Malaysia. I have also published in top journals.

Consultancy

I have done several consultancy projects including with UNICEF Malaysia and Rythm Foundation, Qi Group. Some notable projects are school-based program for children with special needs and mental health care amongst children and adolescents.
